Today we'll consider the role of achievement and accomplishment in making work meaningful. While most would agree that achieving things gives work purpose, we'll examine whether treating achievement as the ultimate aim of work can itself become a source of problems — and what a first-hand account of such a crisis can teach us about how we value achievement.
